This mini project was experimentation using a method I hadn't used before. I worked with stencil board to create my own stencils, in order to work with spray paints. This was a really interesting way of working and really effective in my opinion. 

The image above was my first ever attempt at both cutting out a stencil and working with spray paints, although there is a lot of room for improvement, I was extremely happy with this as a first attempt. The image depicts Courtney Love-Cobain, and I used a research image from her photoshoot with Phil Nicholls in 1991.

For this big painting I made 3 separate stencils, in order to create dimension using multiple colours.

This was an experimentation with spray paints and negative space, using posca pens to bring a pop of colour to a black and white sprayed background.
